Vaporware is a program that runs on a new kind of internet computer, called a **ship**

Ships combine the features of:
- SC wallets
- Large file storage
- Encrypted networking
- Full stack web apps

Ships are offchain cloud computers, governed by onchain transactions. They're internet appliances for normal people.

We believe in a vision of user-owned cloud computing that can realize the full potential of personal AI, decentralized finance, and sovereign digital organizations.

Everyday people need web services they can own, trust (and quit).

This spring, we’re launching a closed testnet. 

We’re seeking devs, creative technologists, game designers, protocol engineers, artists and tinkerers to build new categories of onchain applications.

Vaporware is developed as Free and Open Source Software and respects the four essential freedoms. A public repo and developer documentation is coming soon.

Ships are designed to be cheap, stable, and portable. They should run as consistently and reliably as your toaster. This is possible thanks to a new kind of virtual machine, the solid-state interpreter.

The protocol represents ships as NFTs, so ownership and control is fully composable and onchain.
