I updated my wishlist today, and it was nice that many of the items from last time were fulfilled. I find creating such a list very motivating. Whether the wishes are fulfilled by yourself or others doesn't matter; having a goal or wish increases a chance there will be a way to achieve it

I also make lists, and then I forget about them for a while) it’s nice to then cross off unexpected fulfilled desires

Same here :) Sometimes I also check my list during the sale period and I've been pleasantly surprised a couple of times
