Sources close to the incoming US administration have told Bloomberg that Donald Trump plans to issue a major executive order on cryptocurrencies on January 20, coinciding with the start of his presidency.
The order, which makes cryptocurrencies a national priority, will include the creation of a cryptocurrency advisory council, a review of regulatory policies, and possibly a halt to legal cases against major companies in the industry.
It is also said that the creation of a strategic Bitcoin reserve to manage $20 billion in US government cryptocurrency assets will also be part of the order.
