📍 antwerp, belgium
i’m captivated by architecture, especially by the masterpieces of zaha hadid. whenever i visit a city with one of her projects, i try to visit them.
a few years ago, i traveled to europe to run the berlin marathon, but that’s a story for another day. i spent a few days in bruges, belgium, with my brother in law and seized the chance to visit antwerp and see the "port house" building.
getting there wasn’t easy. the building is on the outskirts of the city, far from the usual tourist paths. it meant navigating public transportation and then walking a long distance. when i arrived there it stood, a fusion of the old and new, glistening under the belgian sky. the port house wasn’t just a building; it was alive, telling a story of boldness and vision. standing there, i felt a wave of inspiration that made every step worthwhile.
at the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about—going the extra mile and chasing what makes your heart beat faster. 2 replies
