Metaplanet 🇯🇵 continues to issue more bonds at 0% interest to buy BTC, so why would anyone be willing to lend them money at 0% interest? The key point is that Metaplanet has announced a series of stock options tied to the bond issuance. In other words, they allow investors to buy shares of the company in the future at a predetermined price. This is quite similar to MicroStrategy's convertible bonds, but a bit more complicated, probably because Japanese law does not allow the issuance of convertible bonds 🤷♂️
