Most current airdrops feel like either a worse form of 2017 ICOs or 2020 yield farming DeFi protocols. In 2017, you would do some due diligence and and then send eth to a contract and receive project tokens in return, within a few weeks, the token gets listed and you dump and move on. Now, you push transactions, burn eth in fees, accumulate points, wait for months/years, then receive tokens proportional to the fee burned or liquidity provided. The kicker is if these same tokens were offered in ICO form, you may not even buy them 😂
