The first Bitcoin payment was made by Laszlo Hanich, a member of the Bitcoin Talk community, in May 2010.  He paid 10,000 bitcoins to buy two pizzas from Jack Sunville restaurant, which cost about $41.  At this time, the value of Bitcoin was based on the dollar for the first time and was equal to 0.004 dollars.
