Ancient Greek astronomer Aristarchus (280 BCE) proved Earth's spherical shape by observing lunar eclipses - the curved shadow Earth casts on the moon is always circular, impossible with a flat disk. Basic geometry defeated flat Earth claims 2300 years ago.
