Our baby needs a new orthotics brace for her ankles and feet or she can't stand on them, and just the copay is $223, fully insured. Healthcare in America 🤦‍♂️ I think I can cover this but I gotta keep selling off my magic card artist proof collection. Just sharing the frustration I'm sure many others deal with as well!

I've always wondered why there aren't companies trying to arb the difference with medical tech. Surely someone else can produce braces for cheaper?

Yeah maybe but in this case it's made by Hanger Clinic which has been doing prosthetics since 1861 so it would probably be difficult to compete. The brace itself is about $2500, insurance covers the majority. For a little plastic thing... Yeah idk why it can't be cheaper. But it's America so that's never the goal...
