One thing I like about the US is that is a land where it's easier to start your own community and explore different political, economic, and social ways of organize. Thereโ€™s more room for experimentation and alternative ways of doing you life thanks to less bureaucracy, special considerations for minorities and tools like homeschooling or the freedom that communities in places like Appalachia have to self-organize. Of course it has its downsides, like the rise of sects, but imo, the benefits outweigh the cons. On the other hand, while the European Union has brought many benefits, it has also introduced a lot of bureaucracy and homogenization, which has limited a lot the ability to live and organize life in diversity.

Probably in most of Europe is like that. There is some liberty to have collective schools (teachers and parents cooperatives and associations with alternative schooling) but itโ€™s also limited until certain grade)
