The Bitcoin pizza story is one of the most famous and interesting tales in the world of cryptocurrencies. It dates back to the early days of Bitcoin when its real value and potential were still unknown to many. On May 22, 2010, a programmer named Laszlo Hanyecz made the first real-world transaction using Bitcoin. He paid 10,000 Bitcoins for two pizzas from Papa John's. This transaction was facilitated by another user in the Bitcoin forum named "jercos" who ordered the pizzas, and Laszlo transferred the Bitcoins to his wallet. At that time, Bitcoin was not very valuable, and 10,000 Bitcoins were worth about $41. However, as time passed and Bitcoin's value soared, the worth of those 10,000 Bitcoins reached millions of dollars. Today, this transaction is celebrated as one of the most iconic and interesting stories in the history of cryptocurrencies and is commemorated every year on May 22 as "Bitcoin Pizza Day."
