Do you know and understand after learning and listening? That is deceiving yourself, because: 1) After one hour, 56% has been forgotten. 2) By the next day, 74% has been forgotten. 3) After one month, only 21% is remembered. If you only remember 56% or 21%, you will not be able to recall it when no one reminds you or brings it up.
