Good point. I’m hopeful fc opens up to more users because I agree that we could start something far healthier here. And through @shefi, I/we have a ton of baddies to invite, but paying for invitations for new users is a little prohibitive. Pros and cons I guess 🤷🏽‍♀️ it leaves me wondering whether they really want industry nubes or outsiders here. I’ve voiced that this is a prohibitive policy on threads seeking community input, but I didn’t get any response. Do you have any idea why fc is by invitation only?

It’s definitely felt like the retail crypto community was imploding on X. For me the icing on the cake was the suicide meme coin. But they hardly talked about it, and they swept it under the rug quickly. The entire community needs therapy. So being an outsider has its advantages.

I got serious about X in November thinking self-preservation (I like to know what’s coming). I’ve learned a lot about people with very different philosophy than mine, and that’s been an interesting process. Seriously eye-opening. To deal psychologically, though, I’ve ultimately blocked about 50 accounts in 3 months, including public officials. Whenever I see someone that I feel could threaten my safety or sanity (now or future), I block. I’ve curated the feed well enough that I get crypto news straight away. 😄 Now, I look to my Shefi baddies for inspiration on X, but I would much rather find it here. 🙏🏽

Imagine how a Grok-3-level AI could cut so fast through the BS -if it was released as a bot on X without a maker / manipulater -and it generated a daily digest that fact checked all the various theories and data from X users Conversations with such an agent really cut to the chase, but privacy is nonexistent, so asking critical questions is risky because of personal data collection. Who knows how to create such an agent savior that isn’t built to collect user data but to reveal the “truth” being intentionally obscured by an overwhelming data bombardment?

I’m ready to encourage a group of womxn onboarding to w3 through @shefi to join, but I see I have zero invitations available to share with seasters. What are the plans to grow with the existing by-invitation-only policy? I’m seeing talk of growth but a very real road block in the way. Is there a plan to remove this obstacle?

I’m a crypto nube. I found fc by listening to podcasts, & I decided to pursue access because I heard I’d learn a lot here. From my experience, lack of marketing off X & by-invitation-only policy hinders adoption by non-crypto users. I’m glad to see a broader range of topics welcomed. Makes me feel more welcome.
