I’m not a morning person and I struggle waking up at 5 am on kids’ school days 🫠 but I’m starting to enjoy my quiet morning time in the kitchen preparing breakfast and lunches just because I get to start my day with this peaceful soundtrack in the background 😌🎶☀️ it is amazing how starting my mornings slow and with peaceful music can make a huge difference in my mood throughout the day 🩵 https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=7IWRMe4e5VE&si=4brUENWqFurTNPSP

My worst nightmare turned into reality today when I saw a baby snake (8” long) casually chilling on the mat in my kitchen 😭 it’s gonna be a loooong time before I can walk in my home without scanning the floor 🫣 also had a panic attack for the first time 😢 I don’t think I’ll ever forget the whole experience 😞

Had a fun practice session this morning 🎙️tried to sing and practice notes in higher octave 🤪 my voice still sounds so raw and I had a hard time holding the note 🎵 My vocalist friends - how do you all practice singing across different octaves? Any suggestions for techniques?

Super excited to share a little clip from my riyaaz this morning 🎼🎙️I haven’t done my riyaaz in a while so my voice sounds very raw but I was so happy to sing one of my most favorite raags called Miya Malhar. This is an introduction of the raag which is also called Aalap. The accompanying instrument is Tanpura (I find it very soothing) 💜

Sometimes it’s just so hard to be kind to myself and sleep at night with all the guilt I have after having a moment when I failed as a parent 😢 it’s a new day tomorrow and I’m going to do better (what I tell my kids while apologizing for my mistake and trying to live by that) ❤️‍🩹 Do other parents feel this way? How do you get through it?
