Myth: “Farcaster isn’t big enough “

Reality: 2 billion moxie worth of fan tokens transacted by Farcaster users the past 54 days

Some thoughts on this:

“Farcaster isn’t big enough”. I don’t think this is a myth. Farcaster only has 40k-50k DAU, about 0.02% as many as X. FC isn’t big enough yet, I think everyone here wants it to grow to much larger than it is currently. I believe it can and will.

Secondly, I don’t think cumulative fan token TX volume is a good metric for describing the size of FC, it’s largely unrelated. This feels like a vanity metric - its a big number that goes up over time. I’m not convinced its a good measure of Moxie’s success, or the size of FC.

I think a better metric for measuring the success of Moxie is number of FT holders. Currently there are only 5k addresses holding FTs - not a huge number, but it is growing steadily. 

So my question @betashop.eth  - what is Moxie’s North Star metric? What’s the actual number you guys will be looking at to gauge how well the protocol is doing?

I’m a huge fan of yours and Moxie, but also want to keep things real 💜
