On February 13, local time, Russian presidential spokesman Peskov provided details about the phone call between the U.S. and Russian presidents and answered related questions. Peskov indicated that Russia had initiated the formation of a dialogue negotiation team with the U.S., and that Ukraine would certainly participate in the negotiations in some capacity. On the same day, February 13, President Trump stated that he had a very good conversation with Presidents Putin and Zelensky. Trump noted that he was aware Putin wanted to reach an agreement regarding the Russia-Ukraine conflict and that the U.S. was discussing the matter of an agreement with Zelensky. Trump mentioned that negotiations regarding the Russia-Ukraine conflict had not yet begun and that it was too early to talk about negotiations between the U.S. and Ukraine
