There are ~2 trillion galaxies in the observable universe But due to the ever-accelerating expansion of the universe, we will never be able to reach ~99% of them, even if we started traveling now at ~c Our universe will only get lonelier and lonelier before it eventually dissolves into nothingness and light dies out

Like 2 trillion light years from now but it's a sad thought. My dad was an areo engineer I remember listening to him talk about how many advances we could make if we could tackle the expansion riddle
