was hesitant to get a dog because I disliked dog poop, had a coworker who lost her cheek to a pitbull, and had strange encounters with dogs (and owners). one that stands out is a relentless crotch-sniffing dog that crashed a weekend camp party. it’s a huge responsibility -so I take dog ownership pretty seriously
