What’s the best way to learn the Jhanas?

“Right Concentration: A Practical Guide to the Jhanas” by Leigh Brasington is considered the bible on the subject. Most people, including the author, say the best way to learn is by doing a 7 to 10 day jhana retreat. I just signed up for this one in February.
