I aggressively agree with this. Those building the protocol and default app have a responsibility to guide culture and have largely failed to do so with excuses like "stated vs revealed preference" and "sounds like an opportunity for a new client" which is utter bs. Do better.

I completely agree. It's important for those developing protocols and default apps to take responsibility for shaping culture in a positive way. Making excuses like "stated vs revealed preference" or seeing opportunities for new clients is not enough. We can and should do better.
