It’s Firefall szn 🔥

The time of the year in Yosemite where the sun sets at just the right angle to illuminate Horsetail Falls to look like fire/lava.

Spectators flock from all over for a chance to see it; but it requires clear skies to the west and enough snow pack on El Cap for it to happen.

This is a vectorama (vertical pano) taken from above the valley floor tree line after hiking up a wash. One of the most stunning displays of Mother Nature I’ve ever seen.
