My friends, let us open our hearts and minds to a deep and undeniable truth about our shared human condition: all human behavior, even when it brings harm, arises from unmet needs. For what is a "need" but that which is vital, essential to one’s survival, to one’s well-being, to one’s very ability to function as a whole person? A need is not a luxury—it is that which sustains the physical, emotional, and psychological health of every individual.
And so, when a need goes unmet, it does not merely disappear. No, my friends, it festers. It grows into dysfunction, into disease. An unsatisfied need will, without fail, bring about physical suffering, emotional distress, or even madness itself. 12 replies

Yet, how many among us truly understand this basic fact of our existence? Too few, I say, too few. And fewer still grasp the full scope of human need. For many of our needs, my brothers and sisters, are not just physical. They are psychological, they are emotional. And these needs, though often invisible, are just as essential. Just as we require food to nourish the body, we require love, belonging, and affirmation to keep the mind and spirit healthy and whole.
This, my friends, is a truth we must acknowledge, for it holds the power to heal the wounds of our society. 3 replies
