It's a fact, every day tons of information, some unnecessary actions, gradual burnout. You want to build a hut in the forest: just you, nature and the universe, lazily watching you with one eye) Then you remember about salt and matches, and you realize that civilization can live without you, but you can't without it))

what do you mean? i could absolutely live without humans. I'd just take what I need and leave this part for those who actually like to be social

What I'm saying is that we can't completely sever the thread that ties us to civilization and live as hermits. The reason is banal - we have lost the skills necessary for survival in the wilderness. But of course, it is possible to minimize your contact with people and live in solitude.

Surviving alone is definitely more challenging than in a group. There are communities around the world that are autosustentable and only work for money to buy a few things from civilization but can live without. Incredible matches is not one, but salt and soap are.

There's other herbs to use instead of salt, and I don't find soap hard to bake as long as you have baking soda I've researched some autosustentable communities and sometimes i think about moving but i feel stuck

We're talking about slightly different things. I emphasized survival in the wilderness: not in trailers, not in tent camps with relative amenities where you can leave the camp at any time. Imagine you found an abandoned cabin in the woods.And you have a relative stockpile of provisions/pharmacies/personal hygiene items. How long would you last? Good if you attended scout school as a child and remember how to carve fire and other skills.
