Unearthed from the tomb of Li Jingxun in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, she was the granddaughter of Yang Lihua, Princess Leping of the Sui Dynasty. She died in 608 AD at the age of 9.
This necklace is the most exquisite necklace discovered by archaeologists in China. It is composed of 28 gold spherical beads. Each spherical bead is welded by 12 small gold rings, and 10 pearls are embedded on each bead. The workmanship is very delicate.
The lower end of the necklace is inlaid with a crystal chicken blood stone. It is still bright and shiny after being buried underground for more than a thousand years. There are 24 pearls embedded around the chicken blood stone.
