The current transactions spec is a great fallback for all kinds of transactions, but in a couple months most transactions in frames won't happen with it imo. Just as frames allowed embeds by implementing a limited, safe scope, there's an opportunity to do the same with transactions, starting with small payments

Most transactions are < $10 and are payments for something (gas, nft, erc-20, game action). Smart contracts may need to be rewritten in order to work in the future new paradigm, but it'll be similar to frames; it'll be worth it for the conversion + distribution.

There is a significant contrast of effort between adding meta tags to a website vs. rewriting a smart contract.

frames require more than just meta tags; you need to handle POSTs, verify bodies, and in many cases rewrite your app to work in a frames first paradigm where you do everything via an image, 4 buttons and an input. I agree, but I think its clear devs will rewrite contracts to create better converting and viral frames
