So it seems like there are some problems into converting external media links into cloudinary urls on @warpcast This will affect the use of my @gif composer action for GIFs that were never shared before today! I am currently investigating if there’s anything I can do on my end, but chances are something’s up with Warpcast. 🙏 cc @gt @horsefacts.eth Thanks @christin and @jpfraneto.eth for spotting this

We no longer use Cloudinary and Warpcast has no flows to actually use it. How are these embeds created? Are you generating these links for your action?

Hey thanks for the quick reply! Check the url in my quoted message tho, it’s a cloudinary! That url is generated by warpcast, all I do is passing back the gif media, which is hosted on tenor (as you can appreciate by checking the end of that long url, because the original url gets appender at the end)

What is the actual embed URL you send with your action?

This one: https://media.tenor.com/ds6E-Fubz64AAAAC/the-end-is-near-homer-simpson (copy it and append .gif at the end otherwise i would not be able to share it here)

This seems to render just fine for me as animated. Can you action just set this value as the embed? Does that not work? We discontinued our usage of Cloudinary so if you can patch it on your end — great, otherwise it will take some time for us to figure out a fix.

Yeah the link works. I return this exact raw link I sent you from my composer action. I fetch it from tenor and i return it in my postMessage function exactly as is. But historically the link has always been “re-uploaded” by warpcast, i have never seen a cast including the original tenor url, it’s always modified This behavior in the past has even lead to a double-embed bug in which the cast would contain both the original tenor url and the modified warpcast url, so the gif would show twice. I casted about it here: https://warpcast.com/0xconca.eth/0x5dfbf882
