They eat a pretty varied diet. Seems likely that being very intelligent mammals themselves, they recognize us as intelligent mammals. Who knows, maybe they even have some kind of Cargo Cult religion around us! We sure would if there was a super intelligent species with advanced technology that lived in the sky.

Yeah they would pretty much just ignore us in Prince William Sound Idk if they dislike us cus of the oil spill, or the engine noises But they would swim reaaaaal close to a boat and then dive under it Lucky I was out there a long time ago before they started having fun capsizing ppl!!! I saw a humpback whale pretty close while kayaking once too, that was almost as scary, cus I felt it could easily accidentally drown me with a roll or tail splash Like an eldritch horror from the deep Awesome for real
