hot take take but i dont care what chain any app is on. i only care about the app and using it self. chain maximalism mindset is corrosive to long term builders.

I somewhat disagree. Any app on dead or slow/expensive chains matter for UX. It needs to be on a chain retail can use for it to be worth developing for.
