The vibes are worsening here lately.

Numbers we each value differently are rapidly going up. Social metrics, portfolio values, DAUs, etc.

It’s exciting but some of us are turning into the Twitter influencers we once vocally rejected.

ooh i think this is unavoidable as things scale. 

best thing to mitigate it is to allow users more power over the content they see.

My callout is more to remind the core users that built this space where we were 60 days ago and not let numba go up get to their heads.

Totally agree with this. I would love to see two options: default and custom. Within custom, opt-in and opt-out features, visual prioritization, etc
