Jack Lu, co-founder and CEO tells our story:

"The very first name we had was "Petabay" (Peta = a large unit of measurement like Google). Everyone hated the name so we nixed it.

Then, we got "Magic Den" from a startup name generator. Staring at the words, we tweaked Den to Eden.

We thought Magic Eden could be a good name, as it suggested a new Internet frontier where exciting magical stuff could be discovered. Magic Eden could also represent an ecosystem where all our creators, customers, and partners lived in harmony. Finally, the word magic felt powerful -- it connoted something delightful and unexpected.

Three years later, we have tried to build this. Magic Eden is now a giant cross chain ecosystem. We have welcomed endless creators and partners to our ecosystem. And I think we've delivered some magic over the years 😁.
