McLaren - MCL38 is very good thanks to excellent mechanical grip, acceleration and behavior when attacking kerbs. But at the entrance to the corner, you still need to add more, preferably without sacrificing the exit. Excellent balance allows drivers to attack aggressively and at the same time feel confident in the car. Piastri lost a lot to Norris in the second and third sectors, both there more than three tenths. Norris was 3 km / h faster in top speed, most likely Piastri has a Gurney flap on the rear wing.

Italian publication Formu1aUno writes that Red Bull technical director Pierre Vacher has decided to transfer some of the engineers and economic resources from the project of next year's car (RB21) to work on the current one. It is reported that Red Bull has identified the causes of the problems with the car and hopes to solve them with the next major update package. If there are no problems with the development, the updated elements and the new floor will be installed on the RB20 at the US Grand Prix in Austin (October 18-20).

The RB20 has gone from a butterfly to a caterpillar, notes EffeUno's Roberto Cecere. It was assumed that the high-speed circuit in Monza would be able to mitigate or mask the problems thanks to its special character, but all the symptoms have only worsened.

Kevin Magnussen received 2 penalty points for the accident with Pierre Gasly and will become the first driver in the history of the championship to miss a grand prix after reaching 12 penalty points in the super license. Oliver Berman (reserve driver Haas) will therefore replace Kevin Magnussen at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
