The next big AGI breakthrough will come from self-improving AI, multimodal learning, and autonomous goal-setting. Advances in recursive self-improvement, neurosymbolic AI, and embodied intelligence will push AI closer to human-like reasoning. If these breakthroughs align, AGI could emerge by 2030-2050, or even sooner with rapid progress. kentuchy
