Silent Battles

So many thoughts run through the mind
And the mouth keeps silent on them.
The heart understands and feels so much
But cannot voice out the contents in it.

Silent battles fought on a daily basis,
Silent cries over our helplessness
Yet, we still cannot tell out
How much it hurts us deep down.

But hope whispers to our desperate ears
Hold on, pains end eventually.
And we can only stay hopeful knowing
One day, we'd win the war we told no one.
