The only reason we have different words for lightning and thunder is the difference in the speed of light and speed of sound. Otherwise everyone would just say "did you hear that lightning?!"

🚀App update coming soon. After reviewing our app layout, we’re making some big changes. We’re reintroducing key Web3 features we previously held back and refining our profile design to better showcase your travel collectibles. Our MVP made check-ins quick and easy, and we’ve had hundreds so far. But now, it’s about more than just functionality—we want a profile that truly feels like a blockchain-powered travel passport, something worth opening just to admire your journey. We hope to achieve this by better communicating the blockchain passport vibe we’re after, as well as introducing a new map view. (See image) Note: Please ignore the repeated collectibles in this preview—this is just a quick Figma design. In the app, you'll see all your unique POAPs!

So the Bybit hack is insanely complex. For those who have not caught up, The Bybit theft is actually a Safe{Wallet} hack! Bybit itself was never infiltrated. A Safe{Wallet} dev's machine was compromised by North Korean agents. Utilizing this infiltration they injected malicious JavaScript code into Safe{Wallet} hosted interface. This JavaScript specifically targeted Bybit's Safe{Wallet} address and did not interfere anywhere else, completely masking its existence until the moment its time came. When Bybit used their Safe{Wallet} long-term storage to move funds into a hot wallet, the malicious JavaScript came to life. It manipulated the transaction BEHIND THE SCENES so that instead of whichever transaction Bybit saw on their Front End interface, the real tx sent all funds to a wallet the Attackers controlled. INSANE. Bybit followed every known and widely accepted security procedure. Bybit was never infiltrated, yet lost 1.5B dollars :O

First initial beta release of the @venice-ai integration for Home Assistant. This integration allows you to utilize venice.ai to control your home using natural language and letting AI decipher your intent. Now you can utilize $VVV on @base to cover AI cost for controlling your Home. Blockchain is now becoming more than just meme coins! https://github.com/grasponcrypto/venice_ai

Wow. So Lazarus somehow compromised an AWS or CloudFront api key for Safe{wallet} and used those to upload a malicious javascript file specifically and directly targeting bybit. That's insane! Seems like we should design an additional security feature of having frontends check and validate the hashes of loaded files/scripts against a secondary location - Similar to GPG signing code releases... or like MFA for front-end files...

What projects exist which would allow me to design an AI driven LP campaign to use defi tools such as @uniswap for DCA-ing into a position? Example: I have 1k USDC. I want to set a $USDC/$ETH LP with the max price point being exactly the current market so that my LP position is created using 1k usdc and 0 eth. Then if the price continues to decline i'd DCA into eth. The AI would fit in to rebalance my LP range constantly removing the $ETH in my position so it would not get sold back into USDC as price recovers.

Im excited to see the crypto communitu escape the crypto "SOCIAL" bear market. Currently, the social consensus and community sentiment are the lowest I've ever seen. Bitcoin and Eth have always had maximalists, but now everyone is at odds with each other. That plus all of the meme rugpulls, scams, and Lazarus Group hammering the community.... I'm excited to see the end of that and to see the crypto community come out stronger and happier than ever before!

That stinkin' thing likely escaped Sol's gravity and left the solar system! It's Interstellar by now!! According to Grok, "To escape the Sun's gravitational pull starting from Earth's distance (about 1 AU, or roughly 149.6 million kilometers from the Sun), the escape velocity is significantly lower than it would be at the Sun's surface. At this distance, the escape velocity from the Sun’s gravitational influence is approximately 42.1 kilometers per second (about 94,000 miles per hour)."

I want to see a review app where upvotes are free but downvotes require a fee and a comment. In the real world there is this constant negative feedback because a happy user is not driven to provide a positive review/feedback. They simply enjoy the product as they expected to to begin with. Negative reviews, however, are powered by a drive by the user to get retribution or revenge due to feeling duped or scammed by an inferior product. They would be willing to pay a trivial amount to leave such a review as well. The idea is to help strike a better balance of real review ratios by adding a slight barrier to negative feedback while leaving the positive feedback path as obstacle free as possible.

I'm imagining books where every page is a minting post. users can buy one page at a time to get access to the "post" and quit buying at any time should they not enjoy the book. strikes a great balance between author and reader, and would be an amazing signal to authors as to where they lose a reader in order to improve their writing and/or editing. Further an author can choose their own adventure. Mint a book with a very high supply, thus essentially guaranteeing new readers simply mint a new token from the supply - the equivalent of not allowing resales. OR, they could create an artificially low supply, risk bot hoarding and scalping, but also generate scarcity and demand while allowing users to trade coins to grant access to reading a page/chapter/whatever and earning a % of trades for life. Obviously there are still a few technical hurdles in the way for encrypting the book in order to gatekeep while keeping the user experience easier to buy token than to pirate the book...but well on our way!!

my feelings are not strong on individual words directly, but the sentiment behind them. We have this social ferris-wheel with scientific (and non-scientific) words which I find annoying. A euphemism treadmill, as its been called. Retarded is a scientific word meaning slow. Fire-retardant, for example. The original meaning was not a slur. It became a slur due to its meaning. As the R word becomes unacceptable, its replacement will slowly become the new slur, and we will have to mark that new slur as unacceptable. As the ferris wheel turns and generations trudge forth, we will continue the cycle, likely returning back to words which no longer carry the weight of being a slur as generations die off and other words become the new slur. Disclaimer: this is not to say I condone the use of the word, just that I tire of the constant cycle of taking a perfectly harmless word and it being turned into a slur. retard idiot moron imbecile cretin lame All words which began life as non-slur
