How does the coinbase balance onchain work from a non-custodial wallet? does coinbase send funds to the address first?

Basically you connect your coinbase account, the wallet receives a signature saying you're allowed to spend a certain amount, and this is withdrawn from the magic spend contract "just in time", immediately before your intent (mint nft, etc)

very neat. one of the benefits of cheaper fees on L2s. Id love to see similar features from bridges/wallets in the future! ie spend funds from OP or Arb on base in a single tx using similar functions
