Passkeys are here to stay, but as a low-durability authentication method to reduce the entry barrier. Once logged, eventually, the user should additionally connect their Google account: a durable authentication mechanism also compatible with Account Abstraction. This way, 99% of the time, you'll connect with Passkeys, and 1% of the time (when using another device or if you lose your Passkeys), you'll use Google.

Is this considering that most all passkeys are stores and managed securely in the cloud meaning they can sync across devices and be securely recovered even in a scenario where one or all devices are lost? I’d argue passkeys are highly durable but curious how you contextualized them here.
