When I came to my first vocal lesson, I told my teacher that I couldn’t sing and was embarrassed to do it. In response, I heard the following: I understand you perfectly and this really can be. Our voice is very personal and your embarrassment can be compared to the embarrassment when a person is left without clothes. At first, I was confused by this unusual comparison. But then I thought that many people, including myself, go to different workouts not only for health, but also for a beautiful figure. People go to cosmetologists and hairdressers to take care of their face and hair.  And then I thought that for some reason it is not customary to take care of the voice, to develop it. And moreover, I thought that being left without clothes was probably less scary for me than singing in front of another person...
