usually the projects will run some kind of off-chain server to calculate point allocations and tipped amounts. cast data (tip data) comes from farcaster hubs using an API like /neynar

ex-/airswap. part time node runner, full time shitcaster, all time higher

I see, so that's not something that farcaster/warpcaster is facilitating out of the box? I would need a server to monitor if someone mentions the token? That seems quite complicated

but maybe I misunderstood, will check out /neynar

You would need to query the farcaster protocol, don't think run central infra? Or maybe they do haha not sure
