In addition to football, Ali Daei also has many business activities.  He became a member of Tehran Chamber of Commerce in 2008.  Importing and producing sportswear and equipment (with several branches), investing in housing and tower construction in North Tehran, working in food, insurance, and steel trading are among the economic activities that Daei does.
 In addition, he has been a leader in charity works and helping the poor and needy people, and he always thinks about the low-level people who do not have much financial means.
