Kalajun Yikuoksu Scenic Area is located in the northwest of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, in the southern Tianshan Mountains of Tekes County. "Kalajun" is a Kazakh language, but the summit of Kalajun is a seamless and southward sloping plateau landscape, with lush grass and blooming flowers, like a stretched blue carpet, stretching all the way to the foot of the snowy high mountain. Experts from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations once came specifically to investigate and were fascinated by it, believing that the Karajun grassland is one of the few natural grasslands in the world.
