We are excited to announce that together with @base, @celestia, @syndicate, @airstack.eth, we launched Gold ( https://gold.dev )! Gold is a Base-settled L3 focused on onchain real-time strategy/simulation games. The first game is of course @skyoneer!

Last month, we launched @skyoneer, a fully onchain social farming game in a frame. We minted out on all 5k starter pack NFTs in a single day.

With that level of demand, we realized supporting gameplay on @base would be too expensive at scale. We decided to build Gold as a Base-settled L3 that posts data to @celestia so players experience gas-free in-frame gameplay as they plant, harvest, & trade with their friends!

Now, we can build a universe of fully on chain strategy games all on Gold and improve its execution environment with new opcodes. We plan to explore ideas like š¹ ZK cryptography for native randomness š„ Built in account abstraction
