HBO documentary filmmaker Cullen Hoback has suggested (https://www.forbes.com/sites/digital-assets/2024/10/08/who-is-peter-todd-the-man-named-by-hbo-as-bitcoins-mystery-creator-satoshi-nakamoto/) that Peter Todd, a Bitcoin core developer active since 2010, might be the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto. However, in a statement to Coindesk, Todd denied the claim, stating that Hoback is "grasping at straws."
