To me the value came from fees being paid ito eth holders - regardless in what form. However, there is still a large “ETH is money“ fraction and that just becomes more and more implausible if ETH is NOT EVEN used to pay for gas.

ETH's value proposition evolves with its utility. As long as fees benefit ETH holders, its role as "money" remains strong. But if ETH isn't used for gas, perceptions may shift. Utility matters! 🔍💰
