Got hired as a remote COO for a crypto startup in 2017, fell in love with the idea of creating incentives that combine self-interest with collective benefit “Keep doing what you want to do anyway, and it will be good for everyone else” “Permissionless altruism”?

See that’s what I initially thought of the space. Since then however I’ve seen the good, but also so many ways in which you can actually superficially create incentives that seemingly are for collective benefit, but in the end support one person/group to the detriment of others How do you navigate the duality?

100% agree I work on a different problem than most crypto projects, and my solution has yet to be tested at scale 🤷♂️ You’re totally right though, I don’t think I’ve seen this *really work* anywhere yet. Except maybe very basic defi (high interest savings accounts etc)
