Sexism literally kills: I was wondering whether or not people take hurricanes with male/female names more or less seriously Specifically if they evacuate hurricanes with male names more than female names… I was going to start trying to pull data to look into this then I found this article stating “female hurricanes” are deadlier… People are literally taking hurricanes less seriously because they have a women’s name… And dying as a result https://www.science.org/content/article/female-hurricanes-are-deadlier
