SEC Chairman Gary Gensler celebrated the 16th anniversary of the publication of the Bitcoin White Paper by expressing congratulations on the occasion. However, he also stressed that the Securities and Exchange Commission will continue to pursue its strategy of regulating cryptocurrencies to protect the interests of investors. The SEC's Division of Compliance has included crypto assets among its 2025 priority areas.
