Useful Random Educational Thread.

1. Elephants can outrun you, Elephants can outswim you, Elephants can throw objects at you,  Elephants do not think you're cute, they remember everything.

2. Totally blind people don't see black,  they don't see at all.
Here is a small illustration;
Cover your left eye with your hand, and make sure you can still open your eye. See how you see nothing,  not even darkness, just nothing.  That's what they see

Sometimes, when you're in a dark place,  you think you've been buried. 
But actually, you've been planted.

3. If the lights go out in your house at night, and your electrical switch is outside, don't leave the house until morning.

4. You should still attempt to dial 911 in an emergency even if you don't have bars of signals. There are protocols that allow your phone to bounce signals off any towers available.

5. If you can't find your kids in your house, don't search for places you want them to be, search places you don't want them to be like the freezer, pool, washing machine,  dryers.

6. If you're in a car and someone's following you, drive to the nearest police station.

7. Teach your kids that if they are ever separated from you, they should find the next closest adult, preferably with kids. The likelihood of the next human that you'd walk up to being a predator is slim none. But the odds increase dramatically, waiting for the first person to approach a child alone.

9. Don't mix bleach with anything but water.
