The previous week marked the beginning of a new, exciting journey for me. I officially started working with the wonderful IBC team at ICF as a Software Engineer. I wanted to take some time to reflect on why I joined and what I hope to achieve. šŸ‘‡

The first time I heard about IBC, a few years ago, I realized the possibilities that the technology could enable. I was already sold on the App Chain Thesis (which the modular thesis just makes more possible, IMO), but IBC was the real aha moment for me. šŸ‘‡

IBC is so much more than a great token bridge. It enables the LEGO block thinking for application building, but for the Interchain. And with all the new amazing technology that is being built, the innovation space for new applications are only expanding! šŸ¤Æ šŸ‘‡

I've built with IBC for a couple of years already, and know first-hand some of the challenges it faces to make this vision a reality. Developer experience, tooling, abstractions, documentation, outside-of-cosmos expansion and much more is still not good enough. šŸ‘‡

This is not criticism to all the amazing people that have built this technology, but it's a realization that we still need good product and engineering work to get IBC to mass-adoption. And I truly believe that IBC is the right technology for that. šŸ‘‡

So, my goals for my new adventure is to contribute to the expansion of IBC in any way I can. I will code, I will write, I will document, I will come up with new ideas and I will make it my mission to make IBC as successful as possible. Interchain, here I come.
