Around 1895, Argentina 🇦🇷 had one of the most liberal economies on the planet. This allowed the Argentines to export raw materials to Great Britain, which was their main trading partner for many years. Argentina’s GDP was higher than USA’s at the time

The relationship between Great Britain and Latin American countries during the 19th century was an exploratory one. All this “wealth” wasn’t really for the benefit of Argentina.
