Staking is like lending your crypto to help the network run. In return, you get paid. But it’s not always safe prices can drop, or the platform might have issues. 
I’ve seen people stake coins like Binance Coin because they trust these projects. Some even try smaller projects, but that can be risky if the project fails.
Freezing tokens means giving up control for a set time. It’s okay if you believe in the project and don’t need the money soon. But if something goes wrong, you’re stuck. Always think about the risks before locking up your crypto.
